A tactical pen is a writing tool that simultaneously functions as a weapon. It's practical and can be carried around in everyday life. Typically, these pens are made up of durable materials. Namely, anodized aluminium, steel, or titanium, to face firmly against impact. Tactical pens are often used for defending yourself from equipment with broken glass and escaping dangerous places and situations.

The tactical pen's goal is self-defence. It's a way to minimize harm to yourself. If you are trying all means to defuse an altercation and violence is impending, it's appropriate to draw out your tactical pen. As the attacker approaches you, size them up and identify key details.

The tactical pen is best when it has direct access to a body part. Therefore, examine the attacker's clothing and target exposed body parts. Try to call the police. This will be done by yourself or with the help of a witness, and keep running from your attacker while you do so. Thanks to your tactical pen, you'll reach safety if you successfully flee danger. But to reiterate, it's only appropriate to use it in cases of unavoidable risk.
